The Torquay Ceiling Fan range by Eglo features a sleek ABS moulded blade design with UV resistant non-rusting components for maximum durability. The 56″ Torquay model in Oil Rubbed Bronze (20523101) comes with an energy efficient 35w DC motor, which is quiet in operation and operates with a maximum airflow of 12,961 m3/hr. The Torquay comes with remote control, with 6 different selectable speeds, timer (1/2/4/8hrs), night mode and is fully reversible for Summer & Winter use.
This model comes with a 20W CCT LED Light that allows you to switch the light between Warm White 3000k, Natural White 4000k and Cool White 5000k (2200lm).
Suitable for both Indoor and/or Outdoor (Undercover) areas.

The Eglo Torquay (20523112) has a 142cm (56″) diameter, which makes it great solution for smaller rooms. The fan comes with a compact 3-blade design, made to complement any décor and provide comfort for any household.
The Torquay features a highly efficient DC motor keeping power consumption low with its energy saving 35W DC motor. It’s reversible for use in both summer and winter from the remote and also features a night mode and timer off functionality (1/2/4/8 hours).
This model comes 20W LED Light, with CCT features and giving you the option to choose in between 3000K (Warm Yellow White), 4000K (Natural) and 5000K (Cool White).
This ceiling fan can be installed indoors or in outdoor (undercover) areas. This model is also available without a CCT LED Light, in a 42″ and 48″ version and in Black or White (see separate listings).

General requirement is to have a minimum of 2.1m from the floor to the blades of the fan.
What's The Difference Between An AC & DC Motor?
DC Motor Advantages:
- In most cases, they use less energy than an AC motor
- They are generally the quieter option
- They will often have more speed options
- They are reversible for summer / winter use from the remote
AC Motor Advantages:
- AC fans can be controlled by a wall control (options with pull-cord and remote as well), while DC fans can generally only be controlled by remote.
- AC fans are still extremely energy efficient
- Currently more options to choose from with AC motor
- Often cheaper than a DC motor fan – although you use less electricity running a DC fan, the savings are minimal
