The brand-new Torquay Ceiling Fan range by Eglo features a sleek ABS moulded blade design with UV resistant non-rusting components for maximum durability. The 48″ Torquay model in Oil Rubbed Bronze (20522712) comes with an energy efficient 33w DC motor, which is quiet in operation and operates with a maximum airflow of 12,091 m3/hr. The Torquay comes with remote control, with 6 different selectable speeds, timer (1/2/4/8hrs), night mode and is fully reversible for Summer & Winter use.
Greatly suited for both Indoor and/or Outdoor (Undercover) areas.

The Eglo Torquay has a 122cm (48″) diameter, which makes it great solution for smaller rooms. The fan comes with a compact 3-blade design, made to complement any décor and provide comfort for any household.
The Torquay features a highly efficient DC motor keeping power consumption low with its energy saving 33W DC motor. It’s reversible for use in both summer and winter from the remote and also features a night mode and timer off functionality (1/2/4/8 hours).
This ceiling fan can be installed indoors or in outdoor (undercover) areas. This model is also available with a CCT LED Light, in a 42″ and 56″ version and in Black or White finish (see separate listings).

Minimum Installation Height
General requirement is to have a minimum of 2.1m from the floor to the blades of the fan.
What's The Difference Between An AC & DC Motor?
DC Motor Advantages:
- In most cases, they use less energy than an AC motor
- They are generally the quieter option
- They will often have more speed options
- They are reversible for summer / winter use from the remote
AC Motor Advantages:
- AC fans can be controlled by a wall control (options with pull-cord and remote as well), while DC fans can generally only be controlled by remote.
- AC fans are still extremely energy efficient
- Currently more options to choose from with AC motor
- Often cheaper than a DC motor fan – although you use less electricity running a DC fan, the savings are minimal
