This fan comes with electric shutters which close the inside cover when the fan is not in operation.

The Valerie If you intend to use this fan as a wall mounted fan the easiest thing to do is to discard the provided rear and replace this with a more suitable external vent.

The Valerie needs to be hardwired by an electrician.
